Tope has practiced in the field of Alternative Dispute Resolution for the last decade, gaining extensive experience in a broad range of complex commercial and regulatory law matters.

A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, Tope has in the last five years acted as sole arbitrator in 14 arbitrations, gaining knowledge of various institutional rules including those of the ICC, LMAA and LCIA (amongst others). Her expertise in ADR more widely is comprehensive. She has produced final awards in hundreds of insurance and banking disputes (including art and jewellery) as a financial ombudsman with the Financial Ombudsman Service. She is also regularly appointed by the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR) to act as adjudicator in consumer law matters.

As a barrister, Tope appears as an advocate before a range of courts and tribunals, most often representing major regulatory bodies in complex disputes. In 2022 she was appointed as Legal Advisor to the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).

Tope studied law at Brunel University (LLB Law degree) and is admitted to practice in England & Wales and Nigeria. Prior to law, she studied photography, with her work being exhibited at the Bedlam Gallery in London.
